Special Focus on Community Engagement Through Quality Initiatives

 

In support of its Guiding Values that states, “if you are inspired, you have already met your
goal.” IES will engage in future Quality Initiatives that encourage community learning in
specified environments. These Initiatives might take the form of reporting on successful life-
changing action projects, sharing new community engagement efforts and methods, or
describing new partnerships designed to promote civic awareness, community change or
service learning. Such initiatives are, but not limited to:

Professional Development and Job-Embedded Coaching for Educators

In an ever-evolving educational landscape, the need for continual professional development has never been more crucial. To truly elevate teaching quality and student success, in addition to facilitating professional development, we propose a comprehensive professional development program that emphasizes job-embedded coaching. This approach ensures that learning and application happen in the real-world classroom setting. Traditional professional development often lacks relevance, leaving educators with information that feels disconnected from their daily challenges. In today's fast-paced and diverse classroom, teachers need support that is immediate, practical, and tailored to their unique needs. Our agency pairs educators with experienced coaches who work within their schools. These coaches provide real-time feedback, modeling effective teaching strategies, and offering hands-on support.

​Parent Education Workshops and Coaching

Navigating the world of special education can be overwhelming for parents. With numerous regulations, IEP meetings, and the need for effective communication with school districts, it's easy to feel lost. That's where we come in.  As an entity dedicated to advocating  for special education, we are here to support families without casting blame. Our goal is to foster collaboration between parents and school districts to ensure students receive the best education possible.
